This is the companion blog to the "Bard on the Plains" podcast. This podcast is about stories and storytelling. Storytelling is one of the oldest forms of entertainment. From sitting around the campfire to the child sitting on Grandpa's knee, we have communicated with each like this for ages. Not only was it entertainment it was also a way of passing down laws and traditions. We still communicate with each other nowadays but it is increasingly through static mediums such Facebook and Twitter. Without the human interaction we lose the context of the story. That is what I hope to do differently on this podcast, have real people telling their stories in their own voice so the emotion and feelings come through.
